About Our drum corp major goes to Florida A & M University (FAMU) for band camp during summer break to learn the ropes plus our band learns dance moves from them. They were the headliner of the weekend. They are so precise and excellent sounding. Always a thrill to watch them perform.

There is something to grab the attention in every part of this image Marilyn. I found their arms and shoulders pulled my eyes upwards to the bellmouths of the instruments. Great composition.

Hello Amitava, Thank you for your comments. Still learning my camera and not sure about polarizers yet. I didn't even see that little pole up there but thanks for letting me know. All help is greatly appreciated. Best wishes, Marilyn

Thank you very much for the compliment. No that is my husband's name but he doesn't speak it. My maiden name was Kormos which we were taught was Russian and my grandparents and dad spoke it. Unfornately my dad passed away when I was young and never had the opportunity to learn. Wish I had. Warm regards from Florida, Marilyn

Great shot. Are these tubas?

A polarizer may have helped saturate the sky a bit and that would have made the horns stand out even more. Also, and I know this is nit-picking, you could clone out the little bit of vertical pole above horn number 1.

Thank you Ryan. That's what caught my eye first and I love the bright colors of their uniforms. Tried to get the whole line of them but it was better cropped to just the 3 of them. Marilyn

Nice composition. I like the way you put emphasis on the roundness of the instruments (I don't know what you call them hehehe. Excellent colors too.
