Thank you Valdis,, I do carry a cutting device for various reasons such as the one you pointed out,, but,,, the "branch" you spoke of, happens to be the top of a tree,, in which case, I would be in the need of a chain saw!,and,,, the location of the photograph happens to be a National Park!,, in which case again,, I really think that the use of a chain saw, would be a No-No!, also,, to move to my right to get the photo,, I think would have lessened the impact of the capture!..
