great effect, I like it a lot. The framing crop is something I would do a little different, but that is a minor thing.

This is really excellent, Rebecca, it's amazing how the eye fills in all the details that aren't there!

Intriguing eyes. What is it with people's aversion to hairs across the eyes. Some of us live with those hairs there, they help us hide from others just a bit, add mystery, keep a layer between me & thee. Maybe that's why it bothers folks so. Food for thought... Nicely done Becc. Dottie

Thanks Dirck. I wanted to remove the hairs, but my nerves are so shot right now, I really didn't have the patience. Maybe one day I'll do this to the original. It's a great improvement. It's ok about the commenting. I haven't been able to get on and comment or post a lot either. Bad time at the OK Coral. :)

Nicely done, Rebecca - you really nailed the 'high-key' effect on this one, snapping one's attention right into those lovely eyes! I also like that she's not looking at the camera head-on, but from a slight angle - adds feeling somehow. I agree that the hair crossing her eye and eyebrow is a little distracting - good opportunity to hone the cloning skills! :) I went ahead and tried a version without them - they were making me blink! :)
Sorry I haven't been commenting recently!

Well Rebecca...what an excellent picture..surely one of my favourites to date. Well done for experimenting. Big focus on the eyes which are gorgeous and a good crop of the image. Personaly I would get rid of the stray hairs over her right eye. Great detail and balance also.

Cheers

Manu

Wow! This is gorgeous. BraVO! The high key worked perfectly with it and the little hairs crossing over her left eye add to the composition. T.
