Unusual and striking lighting, Dottie, and I like the "halo". Wonder what would happen if you used something to reflect some light back up into her face and eyes. (She has gorgeous eyes.)

haha, I'll do that but I actually added a diffuse glow to the top thinking it would accentuate the mood. I played around with this pic so much I was cross-eyed by the time I finished. At that point I picked the one I thought best gave my message. That's the beauty of this site though isn't it? Lots to learn and lots of folk to learn from... Nice shot with a wonderful mood. Have you considered a tighter crop to close in on her face (and to eliminate those pesky blown-out highlights on the top of her head)? Cheers, --George

Hi Dottie, I like this portrait of the two, I think the blue hue gives it a more artisitic feel.
