Hi James, Love the simplicity of this scene, yet aalso the surprising quality of nature that a sole pine tree can grow on such a steep hill. Spectacular lighting, the striking light on the snow is not only soft, but also shows a remarkable level of details.
The only thing that surprises me a bit (photographically) is that the twigs of the pine seem to have a bit of a whitish wash over them; Pusing up the levels would IMO give this photo a bit more "punch".
Yet a great shot, I like this one alot; as I do with most of your work.
