To anyone viewing this image - I have seen the print - in fact it was given to me as a gift - it's stunning and on par with the great prints I have seen over the years with it's beautiful low end detail and brilliant whites .. it's a beautiful work and wonderful to see this photographer grow so much .. A subtle yet potentially charged image. Superb lighting. But is this a parishioner leaving the church after a moment of heartfelt prayer or one that is leaving the church forever after being morally and politically alienated, as your title suggests? Both work. Think about it. Peace.
