About I recently had the honour of being asked to photograph the Nelson Mandela Invitational at Arabella in the Cape, South Africa. Over the course of the week I took approx 4500 photographs and this is one of my favorites. (sorry about the wording across the pic but I don't want it turning up anywhere else)

i really disagree you Patrick and Fadel! I'm sorry but Bob has the right to take the necessary precautions about his photo if he feels there is a need! Patrick if one day you find one of your pics somewhere published with proper credit to you! how would you feel then??? think about it!

and for you the other solution is not to post it at all! then if everyone thinks like you photo forums for critiques would not exist!!!

Sorry Fadel i didn't mean to be rude too...

Hey Bob.... i'm with you totally.... and i think Edouard the nail on the head with his comment: 'People can get envious when they notice the superiority os someone else's work!'
and if us 'serious' photographers can't see through the copyright image... well then i think there's a lot to be said.
i would've done excactly what you've done, it's an amazing photo, and i would'nt run the risk of losing it either.... thank you very much for sharing, and i hope those comments haven't shyed you away from usefilm....
cheers
kel

Man! This is such an amazing photo.

How did you get this panning effect??

And dont bother about the comments on the "wording". People can get envious when they notice the superiority os someone else's work!

This could be used by SAP for marketing purposes!!

I feel it is a risk we take... and what better compliment?

Hi Bob, sorry I didn't mean to be rude, I was just shocked by the diagonal writing on this beautiful image.
A great capture (without the writing) :)

OK so here's the options:
1. don't post it, so therefore not get to share it with any fellow photographers on this site
or
2. post it with the writing on to prevent people from stealing the image for thier own use but still sharing it with people on this site

Ummm.... I think I'll go for option two.

Think about it logically if I had to post this pic for all and sundry to use as they wish, how would I ever make any money out of it????

Besides you can clearly see the writing on the thumbnail. If you don't like it - don't look at it

Don't post it then, sorry but the writing is very tasteless and totally spoiled the photo.

Hi Patrick, unfortunately it happens all too often that these types of images end up on other websites and in brochures without the consent of the photographer thus the writing is often unfortunately necessary

The writing really detracts.. There should be some policy on this site precluding such entries.
