Dear Rafi, thanks very much for offering your friendship through this site, which I indeed appreciate....
I was browsing amongst your numerous photos and got surprised by what this one (and the others in the series) would witness....
I think it's hard to look at pictures that show bad things happening to ourself, and that's why I find this amazingly striking... now I understand also why you posted a picture showing a new car!
Back to your other pictures, now!
Your friend
Maurizio

As we now know each other, allow me to suggest that we switch to first names. I am Rafi and unless you object, I'll refer to you as Jim.
Thank you for your unique comment on my "Totalled". You were right. We were indeed planning to get a new car and now we are going to get one for next to nothing. We were lucky, as the fire that gutted the garage and caused the destruction occured at night when nobody was around, so there were no casualties and everything being insured, there will be minimal loss to us.
Best regards,
Rafi

Dr. Springmann, thank you for the invite to your portfolio. This may seem strange but, since I read that all of the people are ok and no one was hurt, I actually found this strangely amusing. You were looking for a new car... and now maybe you get one for free? And there you are with your camera. kekekeke...Weird and wacky... Crazy stuff.
Jim

Oh no, I have just caught this series in reverse order Rafi, I do hope you and Rachel are both ok.

Cars can be patched back together we are a lot more fragile.

Like George, at first I thought this was a journalistic photo - I'm so sorry my friend !

Best wishes,
Steve

You know Rafi,in Chinese there's an old saying:'No new comes without old gone."So I think you'd better think of buying a new car instead of missing the old one:-)

An amazing series of shots, Rafi! It shows that sometimes you don't have to set up an abstract, it all just happens! I hope no one was hurt in the whole incident?
Dave.

Sorry about this, based on your story so far, no one was hurt. If not, then your are blessed. Material things can be replaced, but loved ones cannot.

WOW!!!

Excellent angle Rafi... Great detail on the car... At least a part of the car is intact... (One must have a positive attitude :)) Great detail... Very sharp image...

Hope the insurance company(ies) give you the money or new car fast... Sometimes it take some time... wiht investigation and everything...

Kisses and Hugs,

MaLuisa

My goodness, Rafi, what happened? I opened this, thinking it would be just an interesting bit of journalism. Now I find it packed with emotion . . .

Best wishes,
