Beautiful warm tone of the sunlight and good composition.

Hi Alison,
I'm a little slow at getting to friends portfolios as I'm on the cursed Dial-up here ... that's all there is. guess living in the bush has its negatives ..ha-ha.
I see that your experiments in photography are really developing your style with good effect. This one with the shadows is very eye grabbing, the composition being such a crucial element in this image.

Very cool shadows, and such an impeccably manicured lawn! I love shadows like this because they add a whole second layer of lines for the eye to follow, and kind of give the whole image more depth. It's a shame that the sensor on that camera has a real propensity to 'bloom' (purple fringe around objects with a very bright background.) I tried to see if there was a way to filter that out in the computer, and I think I was somewhat successful in paint shop pro... I'll call you and describe what I did if you're interested.

I always enjoy looking at your photos as well as the prose you choose to go along with each scene.
It is always a 'pick-me-up' for every day. I love the shadow work in this image. Cropping in tight to just the limbs and shadows would make a wonderful image as well. Pure Enjoyment:) Thanks!
