I thought I recognised it from the thumbnail, Manu ~ this is St. Ives beach in Cronwall, isn't it?! We went there last year and I took quite a few photo's. The light always seems to be good there which is why a lot of artists go there to paint.

I love the artistic effect you've added to this shot. It makes the whole scene seem dreamlike and serene. Excellent work!

Kind regards, Chris

P.S. Thank you for your kind comment on my 'Gold Hill' pic.

This is very beautiful, Manu. The effect you chose for this photograph is very appropriate.

I like this effect, what's it called?
I think i looks good with the bigger house on the left and then everything sloping downwards towards the sea, nice comp.

Good point Tim...I think, if I can, I will move the boat hulls further south.

Cheers

I see where you are coming from Rebecca - when I have a mo I will try and alter the two boat hulls. The original is from a tranny taken in my youth and is somewhat damaged. Here I am trying to see what I can do with it..

Good critique

I agree with Tim here. I think the two things coming in from the left side need to be cloned out. A cropping would not be as effective as the house on the left needs the dark shading for balance. I like the texture you've applied here, but I'd also be curious to see what the original looked. Well done!

it has more from a painting...I like the process which you used, but what exactly have you done?

Cheers,
Verena

good idea i like how it is simplified. one small thing i think that the composition would be stronger without the 2 small boat hulls on the left just below the houses on the edge of your composition. My eye is drawn to them somewhat and they don't need to be there. At least i think they are boat hulls.

Cheers , Tim

Beautiful bluuriness and what I would like to do right now - warm up on a heat beach with a sea sound like a healing for my soul.
