Hi there,

I have to agree with the comment above - the colour is magical, almost too magical. But now for the part most people hate about my critiques - Focal point, and over exposure.

I do not doubt you put a bit of extra thought into this shot, however, when I look at it, although I know the focal point is obviously the grasshopper, I immediately begin to question whether this was your intent. Both the insect and its environment are almost equally coloured which allows the insect to disappear into the background, and thus, it is no longer your subject...

With that said, my eye is drawn to something; when we look at an image, our eye immediatly goes to the ares of difference (eg, a model on a white background or, as with your fern image you submitted earlier)so, here the same principle applies; the whole scene is an intense green - the area of difference is the blown out and overexposed area to the right of the image, which I know is not your intent because it is so blurred.

I like this image, it just needs a little more thought.
