I agree that the cropping helps put the size of the growths into perspective. Vibrant colours. Nice shot.

Maybe I would have bend a way the twig in the foreground, it is a bit distracting. I like the cropping as it is... As Rose mentioned, it gives you a sense of scale in this way.
