About An out of season monsoon swept through White Sands just as I arrived in New Mexico. I arrived at the park at the crack of dawn and was able to get some pristine reflection shots including this one. With in a few hours all the water that had collected evaporated.

jim, simply stunning! perfect reflection of that amazing sky accentuated by the dunes. definitely one to be appreciated at full size. isn't it odd how amazing landscapes like these never look very interesting as a thumbnail. then you open them and they hit you like a load of bricks. great job!

take care,
tom

ps - must've been a very cool trip. your shots are making me want to take to the road again.

I can't believe that all this water was evaporated within a few hours... I don't think I've ever been somewhere THAT hot!
The reflection is like glass... amazing clarity and detail.

Hi, Jim! That's what I call good luck!

Gorgeus reflection.

You used not very bad camera and lens, too... ;)
