Sam, this is just as it came from the camera. I usually open with elements, and do photo enhance, and if the colors are better, I keep them, if not, I don't. In this case, it took much of the dark shades out, so I left it just as it was.

If this is untouched, these are amazing colours. Looks like you're looking down into a volcano.

Thanks Magnus. There is a lot of Civil War history here. Appomattox has a big site, I think this is where Lee surrendered to Grant..I think I'm correct, I'm not that well informed on it, or have forgotten all I knew in school. There's some beautiful country here. As with most places, late spring or early fall the most beautiful.

Lovely and moody and I so much want to see Virginia thanx to your images. I'm also a big fan of General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson even though I'm not sure he was Virginian and I guess a lot of battlegrounds and marks from the Civil War is to be seen ?

Both sunsets are very well done. The other one is more realistic of what I expect you actually viewed, but I like the feel of this one. Del.

What you are doing with golden sunsets and silhouettes lately is just incredible Rebecca. This is truly beautiful. I love the differing textures of the top and bottom half of the sky.
