I left this a few days and came back to it because it disturbed me a bit the first time and I wanted to think about why. I think it is the unreality of the waterfall--the lengthy exposure has smoothed everything of the actual water away, which is an odd contrast with the very sharp detail in the foreground and great depth of focus. Of course the latter meant small aperture, which meant long exposure... I know, I know. But I still find it somehow unsettling. A minor point is the high saturation. Velvia to the nth! Somehow it seems a little over the top. Wow--the first time I've felt less than overwhelmed by one of your photos. Forgive the frank comment...

First and foremost the color and capture of motion is excellent!
There is one thing that bothers me though and perhaps being unfamiliar with the area there is nothing that could be done. Or perhaps you didn't have a wider lens available to accomplish this....
When I look at the image the foreground really grabs me. Amazing detail and color, but when my eye moves back I find the column of rushing water distracting. Obsurd you say... well if I could see the top of the falls (if possible) I think this would look more complete. As is it just looks like a column of highlight against a beautiful cliff face. Perhaps if you couldn't fit it all in a wider lens might have. If impossible well... my obsurd comments can be ignored. I think if it were me I might try for that more complete shot or do a landscape of the foreground and pools behind it.

Love the low angle of this compsition as if give you a sence of distance. Also the smoothness of the water really makes this shot look like it's from a dream. Your colors are well saturated with natural lighting which makes this shot ver beautiful. Keep up the good work.
