I recognize this shot, Oak creek canyon and Cathedral rock. I went to Verde Valley School, and we used to climb this in gym class. You took a really nice shot of it, great perspective. Alison

Thankyou. I am very surprised and pleased to be on the front page!! The red rocks in Arizona were amazing..unfortunatly the weather was bad and snowed while in the Grand Canyon, so my pics were pretty dissapointing..a magical place though. I agree ... so much beauty in the world and not enough time to just take it all in. coral

Hi Coral, congratulation on the featured comment. I agree with Margaret that the lighter bit of grass requires to be cropped. Arizona and the bad lands are one of the photogenic places I would love to visit.
One of our members in the Dunedin Photographic Society has just returned from USA and has some great shots from Bryce canyon. I would also like to get to the Namib Desert as well. So many palces to see, so little time/money.
Regards John

Wonderful colours, and reflections. This must be a marvellous place to be. Like the inclusion of the grass in the foreground give a nice balance. I might have tried a slight crop on the left as there is a little bit of grass - trying to grab your attention. [I have just had aliitle go at cropping and tweaking - see if you like. Margaret
