About Whilst waiting for the Old Poway Park train, this little guy was sitting on the bench beside me. Andy and I tried for a good 5 minutes trying to get a good macro, but the thing kept crawling onto our cameras. Cooporative yet he did not want to give me a full frontal shot, I have several really great "butt" shots. Luckily when the climbed onto Andy's camera I was able to take this one. When he was on my camera, Andy's camera did not cooperate. When we were done taking his picture, we put the little guy into a nearby bush.

Great photo Shawn, I have done the same - I guess they see a reflection of themselves in the lens and then they go absolutely ballistic !!

The one I was "playing" with was almost 5 inches long and crawled up my arm, on my head and jumping back and forwards.

Apparantly my expression was priceless also because I "used" to have a fobia with mantises !!

Best wishes,
Steve

Goofy thing was all over the place and really liked sitting on cameras. When he wasn't on mine he was on Shawn's.

and he's probably off in a field, under a blade of grass, laughing his butt off. Lol. That's quite a story for a few shots. Beautiful capture and contrast
