Hi Chris, definately a gorgeous, and very well captured shot. Interesting suggestion Jim makes, though. It would work! Still, I do believe this composition is pretty well balanced. Very nice shot.

To be really honest, Roger, I can't say I'd noticed it!!
It certainyl wasn't deliberate on my part ~ maybe I just focussed a little short of the trees?

The view is nicely framed by the bare trees...like that!! The sun/ colours are warming up your heart and make you smille....wonderfull...!!

Hmmm. Deliberate slight defocusing of the more distant trees, extra sharp nearer to the camera. A deliberate attempt to give a sense of "depth"? Are you happy with the result?

Great color and wonderful scene. I think you might be able to get away with cropping much of the top third of your image. Either way it works quite well. An extreme landscape would be an alternative. I think one could easily make the argument that the bare branches add to the image with the leaves on the ground.
