About My friend and I try to get out and exercise by walking every day, and since we are so bad about counting laps around the track, I made up some beads. These are hers, shot as we were talking by the fence. My son Sean helped me do the color selection, since I have not done that yet.

Great idea, Alison - both the photo and the 'walking beads'! The selective color really worked well for emphasizing the beads, plus I think it draws the attention also to the graceful position of her hand. I'm glad Sean was able to get this to work!

Such a great effect, the colours jump out. The hands are also so expressive, really interesing image.

Very nice use of color separation. Since the color adds emphasis to your image it might be helpful to keep it away from the edge of your photo. The open hand attracts my eye quite a bit, but the color highlighted beads fall away from it a bit too much. Very nice work and thanks so much for commenting on my recent submission.
