About Picture I took in the Park of Riviere des Prairies, in the eastern part of Montreal. It is a very nice place to visit. The lens I used is full manual. I have a small procedure for adjust my aperture, I have to shut down the metering of the camera, and make a reading at F:5.6 and correct the exposure and this is it. And I have to cross my fingers the photo will be OK.

Thank you very much Rebecca for your nice comment, I appreciate it. I don't have a digital camera, only 35mm, Canon. I read a lot about the way it works.
Best regards

Superb colors and exposure! Great details. I have some old yashicas that are manual, and I love them. But i've gotten so used to the convenience of the digital that I haven't used them much. I'm going to get them out, after seeing this one. Thanks for the renewed inspiration.

Kevin, thank you very much for your comment. Photography is new for me since last March 2003. Around 9 years ago, I was painting during ten years. I was never interested in photography. Last year, I bought a camera and during all this time I bought more equipment. I am reading all the time stuff about photography and the technics. It is amazing how many things we have to know: the film we are using, the camera itself, the way to take a picture, the light, ... When I sent a film to be developped, I receive after a while the pictures , when I see the image is OK, I am very satisfied and happy. When you see professional photographers doing photography all their life, like the ones working for National Geographic, I am telling me "I have a lot to learn", those are the ones!
Thank you again for your comment.

Guy, excellent composition AND exposure. It is such a shame that so many new photographers will not even know what you are talking about when you explain the proceedure to take a picture with a full manual lens. I started with film cameras many years ago and spent many hours in the darkroom. I then decided that digital was the way to go and have had a lot of fun with the instant gratifcation that digital brings but now I have gone back to using my film cameras more and more and am really enjoying the more hands on experiance although my wet darkroom has now become a scanner and photoshop -- great shot and keep up the good work .. you are a fine craftsman.
