The reflector doesnt do a bad job here Amanda. Its definately bought some light back into the face which is good.

lol...a reflector is simply something to bounce light back into shadowed areas. It can be polystierene, a book, or a bought purpose made reflector!

Thanks John, I have worked it a little further and posted a tighter crop. I agree with you! Ta for the advice. Our Australian sun IS extremely intense - that was somewhat diffused by some cloud believe it or not!!

I think the home-made reflector has worked very well. The lighting and exposure are really bring out a great expression. Nice colors in this as well.

The reflector seems to have worked well. As the sunlight is very intense, and the shadows are smooth. Also the shot needs some contrast to brighten the face.

Ok...ya told me what the rule of 3's was... so tell me, what is a reflector and why do I need one? Ok, how about this...just take a pic of yer contraption and I will take a look at it...dang, I am so slack in all this photography talk.... Oh...and the pic is great, reflector or nay... JIL
