About another in my recent mushroom series. There aren't too many blooms left here on the island so i need to keep searching for different subject matter. I do love that part of the photographic process - the idea of looking more closely, differently at the world around me, & discovering these amazing subjects that i would normally just walk by & not pay much attention to.

i've often thought the same thing about these little mushrooms - that they seem like beings from somewhere else! Thanks for you support, Gilberto, i really appreciate it. All the best - jennifer

thanks, Ameed. I'll do as you suggest & add this one to the minimal dof project. I already have so many in there that i thought i'd try for a different project! but i agree with you that it's probably where it best belongs. :O) Thanks so much for your support - jennifer

More than wonderful Jennifer, i like the black back ground and the wonderful composition, i would join this picture to the minimal depth of field project, it has a chance to win the award :) very well done, regards,

Well composed, using and controlling the DOF blur. I couldn't agree more about the value of stopping, and looking more closely and openly than we usually do. The beauty is so often in the details!
