About
I have a thing for clouds and photos of clouds. The only problem I have with this photo is that dust spot there in the upper right corner. It's not terribly conspicuous because it blends with the clouds, but it's there and it bothers me. I get most of my photos developed at snapfish.com. While sometimes I get a dusty frame or two, at least they don't scratch my negatives like the local labs do.
I'm not sure what the color shift is. It's subtle, but I see it... It could be an irregularity on the part of whoever printed the photo (snapfish.com not exactly a pro lab, but they're cheap and they never scratch my negs unlike the local mini labs)
dust is inescapable, but once you have it digital (from scan) you can easily patch it and its legit because every photographer in the world spots their large prints with pro paint spotting, so pixel-spotting is as legit as any other effect that is reproducable in darkroom/normal processing film and print.
sorry for the rant... hmm. nice shot, i like the shapes -- why does it magenta/purple shift to the left? a filter? a shadow? different clouds? area of sky? it looks odd to me for some reason.
