ah Judi, I'm back in Pgh tonite, looking through and catching up.
This one is really beautiful, and it is so interesting to read over the comments, and your answers as to hobby/business. Now I don't need to ask, as I was curious too.

I'm happy to hear that you both share a passion for the birds! I just can't believe that you have time to take care of them, the dogs, cats, children, hubby, teach classes, take photos, and do all this stuff on UF, etc. Maybe you have more than 24 in a day down under? Or do you not sleep at all? lol Kurt

Kurt, the birds are a hobby for both of us. We have won a few championships with them and sell them regularly. The sale of the Zebras actually pays for the feed for the birds, so really they are self sufficient in that respect. I think we are getting close to about 250 and will have to do another cull soon. We find the birds are very calming for the children and give us some time out. I also take on the handrearing job and the majority of the feeding of the overall bird population. So long hours but lots of rewards.

Are the aviaries your project, your husband's project or is this really a family affair? I can't imagine your kids not being entralled by the pretty birds. And is this a business for you or a hobby? Just curious. Kurt

Judi, I knew this was one of your birds even before I saw your name below it! : )
What a symphony of colors; a polychromatic feast for the eyes rendered in stunning detail. I can only imagine what it must be like to live in a land where exquisite creatures like this flitter and glide from the treetops. Our sparrows, robins and blackbirds seem downright dull in comparison. I hope we get to see more.
Oh, and in case no one else tells you:

I am glad you like it Margaret. They are wonderful birds to test cameras out on. Most cameras show the purple breast on these birds as blue. A friend didn't believe me until we went in there with both cameras and sure enough, his came out blue whilst mine showed the purple. I am not sure whether it is something to do with light reflection on their chest affecting the true colour or what.
