Thanks for the quick reply, Corrie. I have never learned anything about film processing, but my son took a class in college to do BW developing. I am totally digital now- it is awesome! I thought I wouldn't like it, but now I'd never go back to film. I wanted to tell you about a fantastic Photoshop class series I have taken that won't make you rob a bank to pay for it. It is from Eclectic Academy- just $20/course for 6 weeks- and they are very good. It is a do it at your own pace, but excellent instructors with good feedback. I learned so much through those 2 classes I took. They can be found here- http://www.eclecticacademy.com/enroll.htm. Keep up your good work- like I said, you inspire me!

Hi kay, Thanks so much! I still have SO much to learn, and SO many questions. I started in the beginning of highschool, took a regular photography class with some darkroom. Our teacher was stoned most of the time, so we were basically turned loose with a bunch of chemicals and some textbooks. My let me borrow his old slr, but it had no light meter, so that was tricky too. It took a lot of trial and error to figure a few things out...since she taught us nothing...
Im more of a hands on person anyway. I can learn from a book, but i have to be actually doing it to really learn anything. I do develop my own film, but only black and white. Color is just too scary for me.(I dont really have the equipment, and even if i did, i dont know...yikes. if your chemicals are off my even half a degree sometimes all your pictures will turn pink or green...)
Im thinking of taking a course in photoshop though, since i know practically zilch in that delpartment. (ive had it for a year, and im JUST NOW getting the hang of layers, and even so, there are still things that i cant seem to figure out)
Thanks though for the encouragement. Sometimes i feel as though i havnt learned a thing with the way some pictures come out;) But thats the beauty of photography, you never stop learning!
