About Despite the widespread modern beauty salons all over Cairo, this traditional way of getting a hair cut and a shave remains to be seen in the streets. The barber's kit is carried in a Samsonite bag which they carry everywhere.
This photo was shot at Sayeda Zaynab - Cairo.

Hello Khaled, and thanks for sharing this genuine piece of your culture. I think that the barber connection lies deep within almsot all cultures, and provies a kind of escape from which ideas can be shared. The relaxed and authentic setting from which your interaction is captured shows a strong degree of universal understanding and simplicity in the world, also - I know that I will travel to this part of the world in my lifetime, to experience the beauty and history that all parts of the world have to offer, but espicaly the ancient and current Egyptians. Also that you too could come to travel and experience the beauty of the western lands,

Kind regards,
Chris

Wonderful scene, Khaled, great shot. I like all the information we can get from the things around the barber and costumer, it helps to characterize the life style of people there and imagine the scene: people working, going about their lifes, and the barber passes by... "could you stop for a minute? I need a hair cut and a shave!"
Good work!

Brilliant colors and details. Seeing his face would indeed have made it better, but I love to see the entire area. I'll probably never venture to this corner of the world, so every little bit is taken in by my greedy little eyes!

Khaled bey,
Another very nice street shot. Cairo is a great place for street photography! I think another great shot would be if you could get the men from the other side so you could see their faces. But this one is still very nice!
