Kurt, your words are beautiful. I love to read your comments. That child is my youngest son Cai. He is only a little fellow but certainly has a way with the ladies. I think he must get that from his Daddy. A smooth talker, definitely. Cai is like his sister in the fact that he loves to work in front of the camera. I can only hope that one of them grows up to love photography as I do.

What a lovely capture you have here Judi, i love the side lighting and the black background, it gives another depth to the picture, converting it to Sepia is creative indeed. This is from the technical side, but from the emotional side this picture above measurements, can you tell me how can i rate emotions?! This is what i like about your work, you see things in life that only takes a sensitive eye to capture.

Judi, while there is nothing I would change about this portrait, I'll again leave the technical comments to others.
I see a young lad, full of promise, with a world of opportunities waiting for him to discover. The wonder in his eyes is exquisite, the partly open mouth looks as if he is about to smile, as if he's looking at something or someone that he's very happy about.
He is, of course, a very beautiful child and he obviously gets at least some of that from his mother. (I'm assuming he has a dashingly handsome father as well!)
My hope and prayer is that as he grows up, he'll not lose the sense of enchantment and wonder that's been captured here. If he's very fortunate, he'll be able to see the poetry in the ordinary like his mother.
