Just returned from my diving holidays. Lanzarote is a tiny little island off the west coast of Africa just besides Morraco. Very popular holiday destination among western europeans.
Its an amazing island for its volcanic landscape. The hole island is black from the past multiple erruptions from 3 major volcanoes. No greens what so ever except palm trees and cactus even though its not a desert.
It belongs to Spain from its colonial past. Lanzarote is one of the 5 small islands of Canary islands.
Cactus and palms are the commen trees and shrubs.
Here they throw a bunch of shrubs into the pit in the ground and - tatahaaaa - it catches fire. So the name FIRE MOUNTAIN. Bit amaturistic never the less interesting.
