Very nice Judi, i usually don't like the very centered pictures, but here it is adding a flavor to the picture, and the effect as well is more than wonderful, simply perfection can't be any better, very well done, regards,

SD, thankyou so much for your comment. I tried out some of your frames today, but haven't yet found the right photo for them. All in good time, I suppose.

Thankyou so much Warren. Lighthouses images seem to stand on their own in the world of photography. They are just so unique and yet can have so much drama attached to them.

Hi Kurt, to be honest with you this photo was taken many years ago, so my memory fails me in the film type, sorry about that.
The grain effect was added in PSP, my preferred programme. Here is a copy of the colour version for you.

Thankyou Dave. It was a wonderful surprise seeing my image on there. I liked this image mainly because of the unusual angle of the lighthouse.

Hi Judi! This photo has great clarity and resolution for a P&S camera. Looks like a B&W shot through a red filter, the way the clouds stand out against the dark sky. Sepia tone gives it a warmth that it would lack in straight B&W. This really has a three dimensional feel to it and I like the way the road leads your eye right up to the base of the tower. The lighthouse itself has a great textural quality punctuated by the stark, velvety black openings of the windows. If I could change anything about this photo at all, it would be to remove the people in the foreground. Although they do help give a sense of size and proportion, I find them distracting from the overall mood of the scene. There is a sense of somber bleakness in this image and the people seem to me to be tresspassing into the world within the frame. But hey, this is your vision, not mine. LOL I must ask you, did you add the grain in PS as I did in the photo of my niece or was it original to the film? And what kind of film did you use for this shot? Bravo, Judi. Very nice. Kurt
