Marcio,
What a fabulous shot of this bamboo garden!!!. WOW Color and detail are magnificent. I was just in an area like this at one of my local botanical gardens but the bamboo there wasn't quite this large. Really great shot!

In the thumbnail I thight thids was an iron pipe, only after enlarging it U realised that it was part of a bamboo tree. I was in Indonesia about eight years ago and the Balinese used to take such a stick. fill it with match-heads and heat it over a fire until it exploded on a big Boom. They did that at weddings and other festivals.
Thank you for your generous comment on my "J." and its model.
Saludos,
Rafi

Wow, that is one incredibly huge bamboo shoot. The way you have caught the light on it makes it look like a shiny brass pole.

interesting texture study,Marcio...love the cool colors and the sheen on the main subject..this must be some very old bamboo as i have never seen such thick stalks nor the fungus growth ..nice comp!...gayle

Nice sheen.
Though I wonder if it'd be tidier without the background gap on the left.
