I have posted my profile image. I hate it.
It was taken while returning some rental videos Saturday night - I planted the tripod on the passenger side and just clicked away as I drove to the store.

Thanks... for a completely entertaining comment.
Yup it is in fact a little off...and this is AFTER I adjusted in photoshop... it was pretty crooked...guess in comparison it seemed straight..heh. So... I'm off to see your work now...and actually.. hoping to put a face with the lovely banter.

Tight. Had to stop by and see the portfolio after you posted the Bush comment.
I'm stopping by this one because of the way the building juts into space, mostly due to the strong shadow cast by the sidelighting. Good time to shoot is late afternoon, looks like you got the best face on the building.
Apart from the mechanics, I like the feeling that this is a Flat Iron building in miniture.
+++ The angle of the camera view matches the two sidewalks and the side of the building. Mega props for getting that dead on.
- Only suggestion to improve is the shot does not appear to be level? It's maybe leaning a half degree counter clockwise.
I really like your camera model. I personally have never had the pleasure of shooting with a "crappy crappy digital", but it goes to show you that the artist can succeed with limited materials.
Keep up the good work.

Good for you, a.e., for shooting with crappy digital or whatever - I would rather get the image and have some fun.
This compares well with antique photos of favorite landmarks. Someone started a booming calendar business with a stock photo of the Golden Gate Bridge - called Landmark Calendars.
Cheers, Leora

Complimenti !

Guess I'm getting a little bent outta shape...people keep commenting on digital noise...underexposed buildings and whatnot...so I decided to make it clear that I'm not working with much of a camera...the suggestions that they are making arn't applicable...it's frustrating. But...soon I'll have a new camera...I'm looking at a Fuji S7000..THAN ...the comments will be valid.
