thanks alot Jon i highly appreciate your opinion , this place is one of about 200 hundred archeological sites to the north of Syria they are called Dead cities and they return in history to the Byzantine period there are some other photos to the same sites in my portofolio,regards

I quite like the composition and the colours. There is a bit of bleakness here that suggests a grim determination to hold on, to exist, for no other reason that the sake of existence. I think that a little more sharpness would have been nice (much of the rock looks mottled and unreal - but perhaps it's my monitor :-) and definitely an explanatio - what is the history of this place?
