About	We bought a Goldfinch feeder this summer. These little guys didn't go anywhere near it but the Pine Siskins are crazy for it. The male American Goldfinch is one of the most beautiful yellow birds in the world in their breeding plumage. Right now they're less vivid.

Dave: Considering we have seen them only fleetingly until today we were surprised that they showed up. It seems to be the season to stock up on food before the trip south and down country.

Another great closeup, Fred! I think they have to get used to the feeders. They seem to use certain ones of ours and not others, but as you say, the Pine Siskins don't seem to be so choosy!
