Great perspective Menno. I find this to be a very artsy image and I like the opposing lines in the brick much. Well done. ps I like your portfolio image much also. Lee

Hi Menno, the answer to that is simple: Participate, be not affraid to vent your opinion, and be constructive. If you do that consistently, you'll notice people pay more attention to your work too...:)
Re: the Ku is stuk hier: Very funny... Q? Why not use Critisism? No Q in that...:)
Cheers,
Hugo

Thx Hugo. First the tonal range, just might be right, this setting is just my view of what is oke,and will have a look at it. The crop is diffucult, if a crop out the bridge his back and/or chair will be gone to..will have a look a that too!
About the comments, i like kritiek (the ku is stuk hier!) because then you can learn. Most of the comments i get are compliments ...nice but i rather have kritiek! My average comments on a photo is about 10, how to increase that ?!! thx anyway Menno

Hi Menno, Very good image; the top - down angle creates an unusual, but effective perspective. Well balanced composition, but I think reducing the brightness a bit (and increasing the contrast) might create a more balanced tonal range. Cropping off the wall, closing in on the artist on the right (similar to the proximity of the trestle to the lower edge of the image) might emphasise the simplicity of the scene, which would make it a tad stronger, I think.
Weird to see that you have received only positive reactions, yet with a 4.9, I find the rating too low, and not in correspondance with the comments.
Cheers,
Hugo

I hope for him that this was a rare moment of no customers showing up...
but I see it as your luck, gives it a more abstract, constructed scenario
great shot
