About After Hurricane Charlie, there was much that had been hidden under the sand that suddenly showed itself. This wonderful piece of driftwood was one of those things.

Joann

I had some time this morning and I thought I would
take a glance at your portfolio. I browsed until I
found a shot that jumped out at me before I made a
comment. Your work has a beautiful direction and
your choice of subjects is exceptional. It is easy
to see that you are in love with photography.

Myself, I am new to usefilm and only contribute
one shot a day. I will add my two cents worth
regarding "unearthed" by saying that I would have
tried a shot with the tree stump placed a little
more to the left than it appears. As I said, just
my two cents worth....lovely photo.

Your work is excellent and I will keep a watch
for your new entries. Keep up the good work...and
stay in love with your camera. When I page through
your work I see a lot of my approach to photography....kudos to you !!!!!....Jerry

Wow, I have just been browsing through your photos and I haven't finished yet but you sure have some stunning photos in your portfolio. I want to thank you for your kind words on my wifes work and my own, I can't think of any other hobby that I enjoy so much. This is a great site. I hope to have a lot more photos once we move to PA. Take care and thanks again.

Sincerely;
Corrie and Shellie

Beautiful shot, Joann. I like the piece of drift wood right where it's at. It fits in the rules of thirds by being in the lower 3rd of the shot and is a great lead in to the gorgeous sea and sky.

Joann,
First of all thank you for your kind comment to mine It has been really appreciated
Then I like your portfolio and your mood about photography world. My best compliments.
I will comment other your works whose I saw speedly as soon as possible.
May I suggest to you to transform this shot in B/W?
I think it would improve drastically emphasizing roots of the tree and clouds in the sky...
I think you get an intimate landscape...full of significances....

WWonderful shape in the driftwood, set against a very nice background which defies the the fact of what caused the driftwood to be there in the first place, looks so calm

This is a great picture Joann, but I would like to have the driftwood to one side or the other instead of right in the middle. It would possibly be best to the left of center and maybe you could get a little closer to show some more detail. Just my idea. Such a great sky to go with the scene. Don.
