thanks Jim, yeah we have a mix of round and square bales, usually the square bales are made into biscuits so you can feed small numbers of stock (like riding horses).

... while the sun still shines. WOW! Square bales! Now, before ya get all defensive about OZ and technology, let me explain. Here in Illinois, we have not had square bales for ages. Most, nay, all, newer (1990 and up) machinery does round bales. Huge rolling bales. My father-in-law has about 25 acres and my sister-in-law has 60 acres. They refuse to spend the money... and MM and I have square bales for MM's horse. It was just cool to see another person doing it the old school way.
