About	Shot these trees yesterday - not much light under the foliage but the sun was peeping through, I used a tripod and longish shutter speed. I have lightly sepia toned and diffused the highlights. The film was rated at 400 a.s.a. and developed in Rodinal for 8.5 minutes at 20 degrees.

Vlad, John and Toni,
Thanks for your comments. I agree it does look a bit soft on the monitor, but probably that is because I diffused the highlights in photoshop. The original neg. is pretty sharp - should be as I took it on the Bronnie and used a tripod but I thought a bit of diffusion added a touch of mood to the scene - maybe I overdid it?? The light was very contrasty and difficult to meter from as the sun kept disappearing!

Sylvia, it looks soft on my monitor also. But it doesn't bother me. I'm in this thing where I like to see photography look like paintings or other mediums. I love the softness and light here. Everything doesn't have to be sharp. This photo has a dream quality. Nothing wrong with that.

The softness must be the scan. Look at the signature. As for the composition, this is simply gorgeous. Love the tones Sylvia. Great vision.
