Fabulous capture Jim, you did brilliantly getting such fabulous detail of the bird through all the branches of the trees. Composition is super and the colours are great. Excellent photo :-) Enjoy your holiday and bring back plenty of photos.

A great capture Jim. I am sure that someone can take the green out. Don't think it is a sparrow but will try and look it up. Don.

Excellent composition and detail. I went through my Field Guide of Birds...and my guess..this is a female black capped vireo....it is all there, the white spectacle...the tiny hook at the end of the bill.

One comment, one question. Your shot just proves that a part image can be as strong as a whole, in this case it works perfectly. The question, Were you late for work?.

Christmas card material Jim. Pin sharp in all the right places and the green on his wing adds to the appeal IMHO. Den

It is a good shot Jim and I like the composition of the image. Birds are sometimes very tough to photograph mainly because they don't tend to pose in the right place for one.:) I like it. Evan
