The size of the filter just refers to the diameter of your lens. Longer lenses tend to be bigger/wider. Your lens should say on it somewhere (probably near the end) what size it is, or just take it with you when buying a filter and make sure you get one that fits! My 28-80mm (focal length) lens is 58mm (diameter) I think, so yours may be the same, but do check before buying a filter! :)

I see that the filters come in many different sizes. I have a quantaray 28-90mm camera lens. What size filter would i need to buy for my N75/F75? thanks again phil

Hi Tanner, this shot (and many others in my portfolio) was taken using a Hoya polarising filter. That's the only filter I ever use (so far) for colour work, except for the skylight filter which is on the lens at all times for protection. I find the polarisor indispensable; I'd recommend anyone interested in landscapes to have one! Hope that helps?! :)

Fabulous landscape photo Phil, stuck between this one and your other Glen Coe submission - they are all superb !

I think one this has the edge, the composition is just amazing and I love the contours of the mountain and the sky.

Excellent capture Phil.

Best wishes,
Steve
