You have done all you could with this scene, Dave. But, in this case, I think the parts are more than the whole. I won't try to badger you into spending money for an SLR, but if you need encouragement . . .

What a super place to visit and relax Dave. Great composition and a super photo.

I thought about putting a fountain on my own pond, I already have a waterfall - the pond is right outside my bedroom window and provides a lovely "white noise" - never have any probs sleeping lol But it is amazing how much water you lose through evapouration !!

Super photo again Dave.

Best wishes,
Steve

Very nice. I like how the bright highlights outline the dark sculpure. Sparkly water, beautiful colors. It's got everything.

Thanks everyone for the comments!
Arthur, thanks for the very encouraging remarks, including the one for "Bottoms Up"!
A DSLR would be great, although I love the portability of the "little" Fuji!
Dave.

Dave, beautiful pool. You are way to good for the Fuji S5000. You need a DSLR. In a shot like this, you could blur (bokeh) the background.
I know you would have fun too with different lenses because you like to take pictures of varied subjects. This would give you more flexibility and therefore enhance you creativity. Personally, I like the Canon line but other brands are good too. Think about it.

Oh yes, I can see how you can have a lot of fun there! Must be so relaxing to occupy that garden bench and to just let the day's worries and problems flow from your mind.
