It's says fashion. Maybe daddy's an oldschool rich dude. It's a British thing. Maybe the focus isn't the bling bling but the whole getup. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd get shot for clipping the nice hairdo if it was a portrait.

Wel, IMO the DOF is perfect. I think Johan woud make that kind of mistake. The focus is her face, not the "bling bling". This is a portrait for her as a model, not a commercial shot to sell the jewelry. Besides, tell me last time you saw a 16 year old wear pearls?

Glad to see you posting again! I like the crop, 1/3 eyes... 1/3 chin AH! there's the necklace. The eye falls from not much detail on the forehead and face, and down into the necklace. It's not about Meredith, it's about the bling bling. Meredith is just there to catch our eye, the point is that we buy the beads.

Actually I played with the cropping a little and I couldn't get any that I liked. The problem for me seems to be the forehead.
THis is the only thing i came up with...

Nice face, great makup, classic style, excellent photo.
I agree about the cropping. Her forehead is too wide and the ear should either be there in whole or not at all.

Very nice portrait, however the croppoing coud use some improvement. Either leave the wole right ear in frame, or crop it out ompletely. The light and angle are very nice.
