Dave, your lilypad studies are the best! The lighting is so delicate and soft, as if there was sun netting from above. I love the gardens up there in Canada.

Yes, being totally car free might be a problem for you in the winter! The bike is a Trek 540, which is the aluminum version they built for a limited time. I have Arkel panniers (Canadian). I was hit by a car last week and the bike was hardly fazed. I'm (almost) fine, too.
I like this composition. At the perimeter of the leaves, I can almost experience the surface tension on the water. Very sharp where it counts with nice exposure and color saturation.
