La prima cosa che mi ha colpito è stata la pulizia del bianco e nero,veramente spettacolare!Simpatica la figura dell'uomo che ricorda un pò Ernest Hemingway,con la pipa in mano ,l'aria di uomo vissuto anzi stravissuto.Anzi direi che hai fatto una foto all'uomo giusto nel posto giusto............ciao .dodi.

Hi Saeed! The problem of the dust on the CCD you are referring to is common among all digital reflexes and it occurs when changing the lens.
I'm sure you know all about it, but, since we are discussing the matter, I will refer to you which was the mistake I made.
One day I got careless and changed a lens forgetting to shut off the power.
After an exhaustive discussion with friends photographers I learned that not only you are supposed to shut off the power, but ALSO " remove the battery ", since the little electricity left attracts dust and dirt all the same.
A totally different matter are the dark spots you might have noticed in some of your pictures.
These are due to the aperture setting.
The more you close down, the darker and noisier they become. They usually go unnoticed at about mid-way, say f 5,6 - f8.
These unfortunately are not considered as bugs and affect the Canon 10 D as well.
As the matter of fact, the Canon belonging to this friend of mine was even worse, but then, he didn't have the same lens and used different apertures.

I?ve just seen your reply to, Mr. Richard Thortnton, about D100..that you had dust on the CCD,,I had the same problem to mine (D100) too, amazing it seems that some production fault is there,, frankly saying am not happy with it, comparing to canon 10D.

Hi Dick! Yes, as you have noticed I have been using the D 70 lately but mostly because the D 100 got some dust on the CCD and needs to be serviced.
I was about to tell you that I prefer the D 70 over the other as the photos come out crisper, but I'm quite convinced that it's not due to the camera itself, but rather to the new lens that I bought with it and never had the chance to try on the D 100.
Now, this lens is GREAT, compared to the old 24-120 ( not VR ) mm I had before!
Stunning performances and unbelievable shooting times handheld, down to less than 1/10th.
The camera feels very similar to the D 100, maybe a little lighter and provided with easier menus to navigate, but overall, the same Nikon feel.

Just curious. Lot's of D70 photos and no D100 photos recently. I have both. How do you like one campared to the other? I use them both about equally.
