I took about 10 shots in this series. This is the only one that had decent focus. I hold my breath fire several shots in rapid succession in situations like this. We were talking in a small town cafe so I didn't want to make a big deal with either a tripod or flash. I selectively "unsharp masked" some areas of his face in PS also to help the process.

anyway, the clarity and detail in this portrait is just amazing. lighting & dof is also wisely chosen. I like the way he looks.

A portrait of conviction and sincerity. Photography is one thing, but really connecting with another individual is another. Looks like you did both impressively well here.
