About The title describes my inability to get this shot. I have younger Bucks and does till I don't know what to do with them but no decent buck with rack. If you know anything about Whitetail Deer you will know why. These Bucks travel on the edge of darkness, and stay out of sight.
This was shot on the way to work this morning. It had started to rain, no tripod, 1/160 th at f4. So not as sharp as I would like, but compared to nothing, I like it !

I saw II before ! but I like this one, too. The pose is really interesting and convincing. That's the way to break up the old commute to work.

Wonderful Jim....
Excellent scenery around him and a very impressive pose.
The crispness is very good.
The wait was well worth it.
Congratulations.

A classic, to be sure. Excellent capture. The fact that it is not as sharp as you would have liked it does not detract in any way. Actually it lends itself to a warm and peaceful atmosphere especially since his antlers have a velvety appearance. This is a beauty Jim.

THere are 2 brothers I have been photgraphing since they were fawns. This one is about 3 1/2 years old I believe. his rack is way better than last year. He has been eating the right stuff, His brother is a 6 point 3 on a side.

Congratulations Jim. Bet you're really excited. I know the feeling when you finally get something you've strived for for ages. He did do you the courtesy of turning and looking at the camera. Great shot.
