About What is it that draws us to the ocean?..... What is it that will hold us spellbound at the sight of rough seas...... I can sit for hours and just watch this..... Why am I drawn to it? . Each breaker different from the one before. And then .. there's the smell of the salt mist....and the crushing swissshing sound as it tumbles up to your feet.... only again to gather itself for another swissshing .. tumbling advance toward you. What is it? .. can you tell me?

A 35mm color slide scanned to my computer. Was pretty bad .. lots of work in p/s .. to bring it up to this level.

Ohhh...beautiful Bill...I love the angle you chose, it is as if the viewer is standing right on the edge of the surf. It is mesmerizing, just tonight I found myself at the edge of a beach, and with each wave coming ashore..the sight, the sound, I could feel myself being soothed..becoming relaxed. There are some that believe life started in the sea...maybe that is what draws us........Gloria

Excellent, I love the ocean but I also respect it too. The power of the Sea God Neptune, and the unknowns and the knowns that the sea has. I am just fine in a boat on calm seas. I will not go in the ocean but only in a boat or on the beach ankle deep. For I have fears of the knowns that lurk beneath the seas. As I will never swim in these waters.

Hi Bill...

A really great capture... Love the way you captured the waves... Isn't it amazing the calming power of the sea??? You never get bored... It is always something different... and the sound is hypnotizing... Viewing your picture is like being in front of the sea...

Thanks,

Maria

I'm not sure, Bill. Maybe it's knowing that you're not in Bakersfield in August!

What is it? Just the exillaration of the 'swisshing' nd tumbling waves perhaps.

Choice of frame color is not right. Black will go very well. Now the frame blue is competing with the image for attention.

Regards,
ken.
