About Yippee!! It's my day off!!

I start at 6pm on a Monday evening and go through to 6pm on Tuesday ~ a sort of Jewish system ~ owing to the fact that I need to fit in with when Mr S. is not working and meetings at the church.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, I'm hoping to go to Wells cathedral and shoot the organ. Well, not literally, you understand, (I've got nothing against it!), but shoot it photographically (what else?!!)

The reason being, I've had an order from a record company!! They e-mailed me asking for three images they'd seen on another of my sites, and asking if I had a shot of the Wells' organ to go with my picture of the cathedral exterior reflection. And, guess what? They're paying!! So there's a bit toward the D70 bill!!

Anyway, enough of my rambling!! This is the tower of the parish church at Queen Camel, home village of one of my church members.

Hope you like it!

Best regards, Chris.

Chris,
WOW! WOW! WOW!, I love your pictures. And you are right the D70 is a beautiful machine. I just got it and really enjot using it everywhere I go. By the way, I am a Pastors Kid and my father was into photography when he was my age. I have one question for you. How do you create such beautiful borders on your pictures using PS? best regards: Edwin Gonzalez

Hi Chris, Congratulation on your sale! Good for you! I'm really happy for you.

Awesome ominous atmosphere, very gloomy and almost scary. Very strong shot. As for the composition, I think the rigth wing of the tower should've interescted with the right edge, instead of running perfectly through the lower right corner. It might've added even more impact to this shot. (well, as if THAT is needed...;o)

Nice rework, very crisp and clean job.

Cheers,

Hugo

Great job... my only recommendation would be (if possible) work on smoothing the transition between the altered sky and the building. Your PS work is excellent, but the only real red flag that gets thrown for me that this was altered is the clearly different lighting between the top edge of the building and the sky. Not sure much can be done there or if it's an area that really is something you'd want to adjust, but thought I would mention it.
