In addition to posing, have your models actually walk down the stairs or toward the camera while you shoot them. The action can make a big difference in some shots.

The pose seems little bit too uncomfortable for the model...
How long did she had to be like that?
Try more simple and relaxed posses...natural, as if you were not there.. but filming. with your mind.
Think as of if a picture, try to get your subject to think the same way, and totaly ignore you..
