Thilo, as I said to Hugo I apologise for the specks of dust. I really didn't think the image would create such a following. I'm pretty happy about my second BIP, just wait until I start to upload my good photos!

Hugo. Sorry about the dust on the scanner. I will take more care in future. Regarding the cropping, I actually have another cropped with the peak in the middle, but you'd be surprised how much of the side of the mountain is lost. Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, I too was very surprised to get a BIP - but who's complaining. Thanks for your feedback.

Hi Michael,
hey, a BIP for a friend. congrats on that!
The composing itself is balanced with the cloud/sunny side part on the left and darker side on the right.
Apart from the dust specks that Hugo mentioned, I think that an upright format is interesting as well.
Well deserved award anyway.
Take care,
Thilo

Hi Michael, Very classic view of the matterhorn, and quite a powerful image. The clouds and the base are well captured, adding a good element of suspence. A few minor flaws, though. There are a few dust specks in the scan, and I think the off centered composition is not the best way to go in this case.
As for the BIP: I think it's well deserved, as it fits perfectly in the project, and the shot itself is very good, the scenery breathtakingly impressive and powerful. Very well captured.
Cheers,
Hugo

Also known as the "Whats the Matterhorn?" Certainly a fine species of rock. The clouds make it seem spectacular and vast which is hard for such a small shot. It almost looks zoomed in more than the original shot, quite a crop?
Not sure I can agree with the BIP on this shot.

A familiar image, but very impressive! You have done everything right and, as a consequence, have an image of which you can be justly proud. Congratulations on your BIP!
