Verena

Hi Hugo,

to be honest the tone was done first and in that moment I had no idea about the title, when it was completely done and the first step in UF was already done, the blank title was blinking at me and I needed to think about it.

Title comes sometimes very easy and sometimes very hard, here it took me longer time and sorry but nightmare was the only idea I had.

Your version looks much more like the title, perhaps I can ask you to find a different title?
Any ideas?

And as almost your comments are so great, thanks for beeing on your friend list!!!

Cheers,
Verena

vg, uwe

Hi Verena,

nicely taken shot from a weired figurine. I allways like your way of handling the greyscale - excellent. What I, for a matter of personal taste, do not care for is that toning. In my mind it eats a bit from the overall very nice contrasts - wish I could see this one in BW. Anyway, great work. Cheers, Andreas

Hi Verena,

Thilo

Hi Verena, This shot makes me smile... A left over from carnival, I presume?

I like the way you created the atmosphere using tone, composition and (a bit less subtle and more straight forward) the subject.

The nightmare bit is maybe a bit underexposed (figuratively). I'd expect a more ominous atmosphere when I saw the title. I know it's not really your game, and in essence nor is mine, but I did play with photoshop a bit. It's not a suggestion, but just fooling around a bit, trying to recreate a bit more "nightmare-ish" atmosphere.... Please don't concider this too seriously...;o)

I do find the composition very well balanced. The just off centered split in the background, with bars and window on the left and the weather beaten wall on the right and the diagonal placement of the head is very well chosen. Another thing is the combination of rigid structures and geometry and chaotic, much less defined shapes. Well captured, and very creative.

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Candas,

I would guess it was build for carnival
and it was rather old and weather did the rest :)

Cheers,
Verena
